Who owns you?
We are private group owned by founders and a group of investors.
Who do you work with?
We work with owners. They include founders, shareholder groups, partnerships, private equity groups, family companies, family offices and public companies looking to sell a company, business or a non core asset Our focus is to get all parts of your company sale ready with the support of plans, documentation and processes. This means we work along side professional advisers including lawyers, accountants, tax advisers, corporate finance businesses, marketers and IT specialists. We also work very closely with the boards and major shareholders of the companies we advise.
How do you charge?
We charge a retainer and may also include a success fee paid if you exceed an agreed valuation on exit. We may also receive a fee for introductions to professional advisers which we will agree and table with you in advance. Typically, and depending on the size of the company and the deal you eventually get, we hope that you will recover at least 10-20 times our costs.
What does it involve from my side?
We will need to interact with the owners and probably key people in the senior management team. Most of our work and the insights we provide are focussed on increasing the value and desirability of your business. We will let you know what you should be doing, and importantly, not doing. We can help you with implementation, and have a programme to do that, but that decision rests with you.
Typically, we will conduct workshops by business discipline and follow that up with a series of questions. Most of our time is spent with owners and their advisers.
What if I do not want staff to know I might be selling?
We can work confidentially, and in this instance would only work with the people “in the know”. We would discuss this with you in our first meeting
What are your deliverables?
We look at deliverables on a case by case basis. Depending on the service you choose, we will work with you to come up with a plan, with the do’s and don’ts by when in place. We will help you measure that plan and if you wish, help execute it.
We will attend board meetings if requested and help with key appointments including staff, interim staff and advisers.
Ultimately the key deliverable will be a price which exceeds expectations and a sale process that delivers the best result in the shortest period of time minimising the cost of professional services.
